Amazing lip balm! The solution to Chapped lips! ECOLIPS #review

This time of year, not only do I suffer from dry skin as mentioned in another post, but I suffer from chapped lips. Working outside for part of my job, doesn’t help. There are millions of different chap sticks and lip balms on the market that when it comes time to choose one, it’s difficult to make the right decision!

This year, I was fortunate to be introduced to ECOLIPS. ECOLIPS is an amazing company! Not only do they make great products but they are focused on protecting the environment while doing so. ECOLIPS was founded on a real life love story. Andrea Danielson began making natural lip balms for her family and friends in the 1990s. She was proud to claim that her product was fully natural and made with the purest ingredients possible. One day, Andrea gave Steve Shriver, a lip balm fanatic, a sample of her product and not only did he fall in love with her lip balm, but fell in love with her too.  It took Andrea’s love for pure, natural products and Steve’s entrepreneurial drive to give birth to the company known today as ECOLIPS. 

Today, ECOLIPS is making its way around the world one lip at a time. Its fast leap in popularity occurred for several reasons:

-         It’s certified organic in both product and packaging

-         It’s vegan and gluten free

-         It’s made by renewable solar energy, thus protecting our environment

-         It’s involved with Profits of the Planet (They donate 1% of profits to Environmentally Focused Organizations)

-         It’s not tested on animals

I was lucky enough to test 5 different products:

Renew Rejuvenating Lip Balm (Orange spice) -  This balm is enriched with Argan Oil to revitalize skin and neutralize free radicals. It went on smooth and provide a moisturizing effect without being overly greasy or thick. The hint of citrus and spice was fresh and I enjoyed wearing this lip balm.

 ECOLIPS Gold -  This balm is from their premium lip balm collection and is made with the finest certified organic golden jojoba oil, enriched with vitamins.  This lip balm is known as the ultimate lip moisturizer and I would have to agree. Although, this lip balm isn’t as fun as some of the other lip balms (i.e. smell or colour) it does exactly what it claims to do! Compared to the Rejuvenating lip balm, the Gold goes on thicker and is a tad greaser. I wouldn’t recommend it for everyday use, but if your lips are extremely chapped after a night of skiing, this is the balm for you!

Dagoba Certified Organic Chocolate Lip Balm -  This balm is made with the same certified organic cocoa powder that is used in every Dagoba chocolate bar. With the addition of essential oils from raspberries and rosehip the combination is mouthwatering! When wearing this lip balm, you can satisfy your chocolate craving without adding inches to your hips! The distinguishing flavour and the moisturizing powers of the essential oils make this lip balm a real treat.

  ECOtints (Sugar Plum and Plush Red) -   These lip balms moisturize your lips while provide a sheer tint of colour.  With six fun shades to choose from and just a hint of colour and shine, these lip balms are perfect for a quick freshening up of your look. These were my favourite lip balms in the collection. Being a mom, I rarely make time for myself. As result, make up is a thing for special occasions only.  With ECOtints, I can easily add a little colour to my lips while moisturizing and protecting them against the elements. This is the perfect pick me up for any mommy who is having one of THOSE days!

SUGAR PLUM – With a deep purple sparkle, this lip balm was perfect for evening wear

PLUSH RED – Would put Dorthy’s ruby slippers to shame. The hint of sparkly red is sure to brighten every woman’s face.

I thoroughly enjoyed all of the ECOLIP products that I have tested. I love how they are natural and pure, while still providing function and medicinal properties. I loved that they offer a array of products to cater every need of their customers.  When a company creates a foundation based on the mission to “create harmony with all those whose lives we touch and this great planet MOTHER EARTH”, they earn a spot near and dear to my heart.
