The original idea was from Today's Parent March edition. Unfortunately, when I searched through my local craft store I could find heart shaped gems, so I improvised with what I could find.
SUPPLIES:
4 Green Gems per four leaf clover
1 key chain
Felt
Glue gun and glue sticks
ribbon
DIRECTIONS:
1. Choose 4 gems and colour a white ribbon to be your stem
2. Cut felt into a square large enough to hold the gems
3. Glue gun the gems together in a clover shape, add the stem, and glue all the pieces to the felt backing
4. Cut off the extra felt
5. Turn the felt over and key chain on the back. I added an extra piece of felt to ad extra security!
6. Show off your lucky charm!

ReplyDeleteThis is a cute St Patrick's day craft! I love how easy it is for younger kids. My daughter loves making keychains for her backpack, this would be cute.

ReplyDeleteLove that idea! I never thought of making a key chain before.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! Love the idea :)
ReplyDeleteMy kids are the same way – always looking for the next art project they could get their hands on. I think they've managed to replace both sides of the family's plain and boring key chains several times for every holiday that's passed. It kind of makes us feel like we're part of some organization with all the matching accessories. But hey, they are great gifts. Thanks for sharing, Jennifer!
